Born in Kundni village in Rajkot district, Hemant Chauhan is revered as the 'Bhajan King' of Gujarati music. With a career spanning over four decades, he has recorded more than 5,000 bhajans, stutis, and folk songs, specializing in the poetic verses of saint-poet Dasi Jivan and Kabir.

His powerful voice and deep spiritual delivery have made his live Santvani and Dayro concerts legendary across India, North America, the UK, and East Africa. Chauhan remains an influential pillar of traditional Gujarati devotional music.
